PagePlus X6: Bullet List Numbering

Please excuse me for this absolute beginner question, sorry.
I can't get it how to continue Bullet List numbering between pages.
For my pdf, I have to continue my numbered bullet list over two pages, but on the new page, the list begins with 1.1 again.

Has it got anything to do with Text Style/Breaks/Pagination?
Would be happy if someone could help me out SM:HELP

PagePlus X3: Working with text in x3

Hello All,

I use PagePlus X3 to manipulate text, I like it as you can condense the text & change the spacing etc.

What I can't do is save the file to DXF

Does anyone know if you can save/export your work using the latest version of PagePlus.

If not do you know what other software on the market has the text manipulation features like PagePlus.

PagePlus X5: Native Resolution seen incorrectly on Photoshop CS 6 images

Hi,

I created an image which was a certain size at 300dpi using Photoshop CS6. When I placed it into Pageplus X5, it did not respect the native resolution of the file. I took the same image, opened it in Photoshop CS4 and re-saved it. Pageplus respected the size.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? My assumption is that the Adobe changed how they format their metadata and PagePlus is looking for the old method.

Could someone try this in Pageplus X6 to let me know if the behavior is different? I've attached the images below.

PagePlus X6: Help Creating a Lined Text Frame (ie, a Text Frame that has lines around it)

I started using PagePlus because I found some of the facilities easier when creating material for ebook covers (moving away from Microsoft Publisher.)

However, although I can get the text where I want it, in the colour I want it, and can see the boundaries of the text frame/box, what I cannot do is turn those boundaries into visible lines - ie, a lined box around the text frame that I can adjust the style and the colour.

This is probably a stupid novice question, but I cannot see how I can do it - and that includes looking through various manuals and how-tos. In almost every other piece of software, the frame manipulation is done with a right click and format frame, or format box, or line format. But line format in PPx6 seems to be part of a draw programme, or something.

Can someone tell what it is I'm missing?

Apart from that, I'm happy with the software - and once I get to understand how to do the text box with lines around it trick then I'll probably be even more happier.

PagePlus X6: Printing Issue

First, let me declare my expertise as Pond-Scum.

I am using a stock PagePlus6 stock template (Side TriFold), but always get a white (non-printed) border when printed.

Printer is a color laser: hp M451 Dw

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I used one of the letter heads to write letter how can you save it so it will open in other software I can only get it to save in ppp other software can`t open it so how do I change it.

Hello

I feel like there should be a setting for what I'm trying to do and I cant find it.

For the very first letter in every article in our magazine we have the font set to 18 and the rest of the article is font size 9... it throw the alinement of the article off.. is there a setting to set the rest of the article in alinement to the font 9?

I hope I am making sense its hard for me to explain.. I'll attach a page to show what I'm taking about

Hi everyone,
I have had some really fantastic advice from forum members to date and wonder if I could ask another question of you all?
I am producing an A5 folded booklet using PPX5 (community magazine)

I will be distributing a high volume of copies and because of this it will be printed by a 'proper' printer on a press.

I'm wondering how I can get my adverts and photographs to go right to the edge of the page? The page view shows blue lines (are they called 'snap lines'?), and when I go into print preview anything past these lines, and sometimes just inside them, does not show up?

can someone please give me an 'idiot proof' explanation and ways to deal with this? I'm fearing that you are going to say I must speak with the printer?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

PagePlus X5: Not being able to use my e-mail client.

I have made a page to use as the body of an email, but when I open the options screen up to check the settings to send as HTML email, the check box to use my email client is not checked or even able to check it. Why ??

PagePlus X6: PDF BOOKMARKS

I have a problem repositioning bookmark entries if they are in the wrong order. Most entries are put in by hand rather than automatically and relate to page numbers. One extreme problem is a complete set of bookmarks (some 30 No.) that have been totally reversed (first at bottom, last at the top). Resorting these by hand is not easy. I need help with this as the User Guide does not address sorting out such problems. Thanks

PagePlus Starter Edition: New version makes all pages yellow

Hi,

I installed PagePlus Starter Edition last summer in order to be able to print and edit a document I had been given which had already been created in Page Plus. That all seemed to work OK, especially given that I have no real understanding of how the document was put together. Then I had computer problems. I have now reinstalled PPSE but it is a later version. When I open the document all the pages which were 'white' are now yellow. I cannot seem to find why that is. It is possible to change the Page properties of each page and set the on page colour to white but even if the document is saved, when I reopen it the pages are yellow again. Can anyone help?

PagePlus X6: Filter effects print and preview glitch

PPx6 fully patched on Win 7 32pro
This has just started happening, import picture (JPG), apply almost any filter effect and and print preview then shows it as a blurry unrecognisable image, this prints as large pixel blocks approximating to the colours in the picture.

Also (this may be related)

Use Cut out studio and when OK is clicked the picture entirely disappears from the publication.

Seems to happen with a JPG or a copy and paste from another application.

Help and suggestions please. This is for a funeral order of service to be printed tomorrow - so no pressure :)

PagePlus X5: From Photoshop to Serif.

I am compiling my book in both Microsoft Word and Photoshop Elements and saving as PDFs. My contact at the printers ( a major international print company) uses PPx5which he considers to be excellent. When I submit my work will he then be able to open it in Serif to do the pre-press layout?

PagePlus X6: epub inserting Page Breaks

SM:HELPI'm working with a PPX6 doc that includes use of indented text style. In the PPX6 doc, all appears to be functioning well. When I publish it to epub, every line of indented text creates a page break. The end result is an epub with several hundred pages that consist of 1 line of indented text. I've published other epubs with indented text, exactly the same way, and had no problem. Anyone know what to do with this? Thanks!

PagePlus X4: photo lab multiple pictures

PPX4 - when trying to alter the same filters (in photolab) on mutiple photos in an imported 40 page book (pdf) all is well and handy, until after doing the alterations i close photo lab and go back to the document to find a lot of the photos have moved to the page that is showing on screen and not in the original pages further on in the book! is this a bug or do i have to do each page at a time! thinking of up grading to PPX6, but want to make sure that i can do mutiple photo filters in one go!SM:UNSURE

PagePlus X5: Different borders for text blocks

Hello,

I apologize if this question has been asked and answered before, but I just purchased and started working with PagePlus X5. I've had great success so far (with help from the great Youtube tutorials), but was hoping to add some more flavour to my projects by altering the look of the various text boxes, picture frames and the like.

Is there a way to change the look of the border for these items? For example, if I wanted a text box to appear that the edges are a torn piece of paper.

Thanks very much in advance for any assistance you can provide.

PagePlus X6: can "story" be changed in Writeplus?

Hello, Pls can anybody tell me if it is possible to change the automatically generated 'current story' headings? I'm finding the ones provided unhelpful in navigating my book.
Also, can anyone recommend a video tutorial that helps with 'text style hierarchies' - in spite of reading the manual section repeatedly, I'm struggling to understand using the 'text style palette'.

PagePlus X5: Bleed on master pages

I have been using PP for many years to produce a small newsletter for a charity. Recently, I decided to experiment with Master Pages. When I output the finished file to PDF the bleed is fine on the regular pages but the bleed on the master pages is non existent and the master page images are right up against the tick marks. This makes it very difficult for my printer to cut accurately for binding as he has no leeway to play with as there is no bleed at all on the master page images. Anyone else encountered and solved this problem....
